I don't know of an article to help you, but I can say I do print some things on cardstock.....but, if you're using regular cardstock, you will have a very low quality. Photos, especially, won't look as crisp and clear as they would if printed on photo paper, imo. I prefer to print my layouts on photo paper, and save cardstock for kids homework projects and similar items. For my layouts and photo projects, I prefer to use professional-quality matte photo paper, but glossy works, too, if you like a little shine.
