Okay... my oldest DD Sloan (13) has pretty much always had long hair, but finally decided that it was time to cut it off. I hadn't found any hairdressers that participated in the "Locks of Love" program locally, so I just made an appointment with a salon within walking distance of our home. To our surprise, this one hair salon DOES participate in the program!

It was both painful and exciting to see Sloan's long hair being cut off, but she is thrilled that her hair will be used to create a wig for a child suffering from Cancer. The smile on her face made it all worth while. I can't post the pics yet as she is busy removing ummmm... blemishes (she is also extremely talented in working with PSE).

The younger DD Siobhan (9) and I go back to the same hairdresser tomorrow so we can also contribute to the "Locks of Love" program. Siobhan will be giving up the minimum amount of about 6-8 inches (she has never really had a haircut for the past 7 years), and I will be giving up about 12 inches of mine!

We are all so very happy to be able to contribute, and I am so proud of my young daughters for wanting to do this for such a good cause.
