Your welcome... you'll love the 50 1.8 - just let you feet be your zoom.

Also, you really should examine the EXIF data on the photos that come out blurry vs the ones that come out perfect. Look at the ISO, fstop, aperture, etc and see what is different about them. Make sure the exposure comp is set to 0 (can't tell you how many times I forget to reset that because the camera doesn't reset when you turn it on/off after a photos shoot!). I've had it set to -1.7EV many times and kept wondering why the photos were so dark and shutter speeds so slow.

Anyway.. your EXIF data will tell you a lot about what you are doing right and wrong. Good Luck!
