Here is the poem for you this week,
Where the Sidewalk Ends
There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and
white,
And there the sun burns
crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the
peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the
smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt
flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white
arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.
Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.

So in the layout we are looking for:
1)
colour: red, white or peppermint green (or a combo of those)
2) darker overlay, edges, or grunge representing the poem's smoke
3) two elements to be used in your page: flower and arrow (it could be integrated into your paper or photo for instance)
4) The mark of a child could be a hand-written looking font, a hand-print, or similar - interpret it your way...
Remember we are playing for
a set of QPs with the awesome February collaboration kit, you won't be dissappointed! Link us up here to your LOs in
