Hi Haley
I used like 3 layers..one being a circle with gradient fill, then a 'highlight layer' for that top, and for the fractal, I poloarized it, making it a bubble shape, and then pasted into the circle selection and setting it's layer to soft light. The image was dark when I was playing with filters, so I did end up using a drop shadow, which was actually a duplicate layer heavily blurred.
My query was about the actual star pointy design, trying to find an easier way to do it. I used Eyecandy to chrome it (LOVE that filter lol) Looking through these forums, actually for about a couple of hours now, I found a link of a link of a link that lead to a terrific site describing Beziers in detail. I've lurked for awhile, and can't believe I missed it till now. LOL I'm still stumped with figuring out the rotation points, but I'm been playing with 'mirroring' tonight and have some promising results. It's not hard in PS, and they have their 'action', but I'm much rather figure it out in PSP. Going to try your tip with the stars

I used a tutorial with stars before, but it wasn't near as simple as you just described it LOL Thank you!
