Hi! Happy 4th of July everyone!

I have noticed that in a lot of the tutorials you are to open file you are going to work with..... and to "click and drag" selection, etc., into your layout, however, I am not able to click and drag...but I can copy/paste as new layer? Is that okay? does it accomplish the same thing?
