I have DIS, which is supposed to be DIP and some other stuff. Do you have a magic wand? If you do, select the black with the wand, then fill it.

If you have already done that and it didn't work, highlight the black with the wand and try deleting the black and using it as an overlay. The other option would be to copy the image, the reduce the top one, fill it with your image and blend it. Softening the edges often does really well with this method. If none of that works, let me know, and I'll play with it some more
