Sounds like a nice option for you - but I encourage you to start using the viewfinder. What you see on the screen can never truly replace what you see in the viewfinder... just not the same thing,.

Oh.. and don't get rid of the S2.. I use mine all the time for its video - full 640x480 30fps and uses the same SD cards as my Nikon DSLR... I don't use it for the camera but just take it with for the video - you will love having those quick AVI's that you'll miss on the DSLR.
