Lightbulb Tutorial on how to do B&W with some color showing through

Hey there.

Ok...I had this great idea for a layout but I need some help.

My daughters both have beautiful blue eyes. I want to do a picture in B&W with just their blue eyes showing through. I figured out how to turn the picture B&W with an adjustment layer and then erase it on top of their eyes to let the bottom layer show through...the only problem is their eyes are not quite blue enough in my pictures to really show that much differently then the gray in the black and white.

I am not sure what to do...enhance their eye color so it looks more like it truly is in real life? Or alter the B&W shading some how....

I have seen pictures like it before and I am sure the eye color is enhanced...but I can't figure out how to do it...without it looking very fake....

Any ideas...or is their somewhere I can go to look up some more tutorials on how to do that?

Any advice would be very appreciated...

Thanks!
