Lumapix has released the public beta of version 4. You can download it at the Lumapix site. It is a beta and will watermark your LOs but gives you a chance to see what is new.
They are now a part of the dotScrap alliance which is a group of paper scrapping, digital scrapping, software manufacturers that have come together to create and offer kits that are designed to work specifically with FotoFuison.
For the paper scrappers: Purchase a paper scrapbook kit from one of the Alliance companies and it will come with a lite version of FF. Start the program and enter the kits code. The kit will show on the screen and you can plan out your page design. This allows the scrapper to decide on the photo sizing and cropping, journalling, etc. Then when ready, print. FF will print the photo framed, sized, and cropped appropriately, and any tags with journalling on it. They can then be used with the other items in the paper kit to create the page that was designed on the computer. -- isn't this a great way to ease paper scrappers into feeling comfortable with using the computer for their scrapbooks?
Of course we can still create our full digital scrapbook LOs. And now there are special digital kits available with "smart frames" which are frames that are all set to just drop your photos into. An example is a frame that is tucked into a pocket. All you need to do is drag and drop your photo and presto it is in the pocket and you can adjust how much of it is tucked in and how much s showing. And you can shop for these kits right from within FF.
As with previous versions of FF, there are different levels. Essentials is the starter level with size limitations, Enhanced allows for larger LOs and the Extreme with unlimited size. There are special features that are only available in the upper levels. You need to check out the info at Lumapix. When trying out the beta it will default at the Essentials level but you can try out the other levels by going to Help>set as and then choose the other level (or something like that)
