Thanks so much for all the wonderful replies. I did indeed add 1 gig of RAM and it has fixed my problem!!!! YEAH!!! I am sure since my computer is so out of date, it could probably run much faster but at least the program works now and I have done my first couple of layouts so I am on my way to digital scrapbooking....

FYI...I did use the crucial.com site to figure out what kind of RAM I needed (I had no idea that there were different kinds...) and then I found step-by-step instructions on the Gateway Web Site (with pics) on how to install the memory in my laptop. Installation was as easy as putting batteries in my kids toys. I can't believe the Geek Squad at Best Buy was going to charge me $40 to install the memory and I was going to pay it....

I have learned so much on this board already and I am sure to learn much more but I do want to thank everyone for their great replies. It has helped me tremendously....
