I agree, the best thing to do is go check one out at a shop. I still haven't decided whether the versatility of the S2IS is worth loosing with switching to a SLR.
I suppose I could get both, but thats a lot of stuff to carry around.
I also really have gotten used to taking pictures using the screen verses the view finder.
Changing lenses and the weight of the camera would not be an issue with me.
I do get great pictures with the S2IS and also like the video feature.
I guess I'll check the Rebel out and do a lot more thinking about it.
