And here is to start! What I'd like to see this fortnight (13 - 27th) is a Picture Perfect Photo. Or almost perfect!
The tips we are going to let guide us for this challenge are simplicity and practice. The latter advice is applicable to every challenge, in the day and age of digital photography it costs next to nothing instead of taking one photo to take ten of every subject from a number of angles or different light and then choose one and discard the others, so use it. As to simplicity, find your favourite photos and study them before you begin, I find that mine are the ones with simple uncluttered bg and a "lot of my subject" showing. To achieve the simple look, either remove clutter from the bg physically, blur it, or zoom in. Even just coming up closer to your subject will help to simplify. Too many things to remember? Take one at a time on board, and move on. Remember less is more! I am off to practice it myself.
