Cannon Rebel XTi
Hi, I need a little advice. I currently am using the Cannon S2 IS, and it is really working great for me. However, I have been thinking about moving up to the Cannon Rebel XTi.
There are trade offs with using a SLR camera, one would be you have to look through the viewfinder to shoot your pictures and I won't be able to just hold the camera and look at the screen. I really have gotten used to taking pictures using the screen only.
Another point to think about is the added bulk and weight of an SLR.
My main concern and something maybe you gals can answer for me is I only have one
arm, and I wonder if I would be able to operate an SLR. When you zoom in on an object, do you have to manually zoom the lens with your left hand, or does it do it with a toggle switch like point and shoot cameras?
Are there other things with using an SLR that would take two hands to operate?
I have one good strong right hand, but no left arm at all.
My S2 IS is really working fine for me and I really don't need to move up to an SLR especially if taking pictures would become more of a hassle than it's worth.
However, if the Rebel can be operated with one arm, I would sure like to move up the ladder so to speak. I would really like to get into taking RAW pictures and doing more
editing.
Any help would be appreciated, and you don't need to be gentle. Tell me like it is.
