a creative team does layouts. Sometimes the team picks the kits, sometimes the designer chooses. Usually each team member has to do 2 layouts and upload them to 3 or 4 sites.

the designer gets their work seen and promoted. the creative team members receive kits in exchange for their time and efforts.

to be on a ct you don't need to be able to design things. I'm on several ct's. I do very little alteration of elements/papers when I scrap. I'm sure each designer is looking for something a little different in a ct member.

the only downside to being on a ct is that you sometimes receive more kits than you expect at one time (and while that's nice to have lots to work with, you also don't want to feel swamped) and you want to work with a designer that you really like the work of, especially if the designer chooses which kits you will scrap. after all you want scrapping to be fun!

there are alot of benefits. team members are very supportive of eachother. and designers are very open to suggestions and feedback from their team. Sometimes they add things to kits in response to feedback (and isn't it cool when you get a kit that's exactly what you wished for?).

there's a site justdigicalls that has ct calls listed, so if you want to join one, that's a great place to see which designers are looking for teams. good luck.

Valerie
