I use scrapbook factory deluxe and pain shop pro x. On your page of elements, use the rectangle selection tool to go around the element. Then click inside of the box, this changes your selection to fit perfectly around the element. Now you can copy and paste as a new image.

Just an fyi, I haven't been able to paste right into scrapbook factory deluxe from psp x. I have to save the image as a png file and then insert it into sfd. Otherwise you can't get rid of the white background.
