Hi Angela,

What Zee is talking about it that you should have lets say 8 background papers open in PSP, papers that you would use for scrapping.
When you select your one petal to fill, go up to the foreground color swatch, click it so that your Material Palette opens. This is where you can choose, color, gradient, pattern and add a texture to your material.
Click on the pattern tab, now click once slowly on the little colored box you see there. This will open another dialog window with a scroll bar where you can search and find the paper image that you want to use to fill your petal. Usually images that are open in PSP will show up towards the top of this list. Click the one you want to use, click OK and now your pattern background should be selected and show up in your materials palette in the right corner.
You can easily change back to a color material by clicking the first little button under your color palette (it should be a little checkered circle when it is on a pattern, solid black circle for a solid color and varied white to black circle for gradient) it is just like a little short cut....
hth's and let us know how it goes for you~
