Oh heavens no!! New PSP version users can still read and follow along with most all of the tutorials that were written for say PSP5. Along with that most tutorials written for PSP9 & X can be followed along with in PSP8!! Sure some things have changed, tool names and abilities, locations and of course the newer version have many more options for everything that the older version don't have!
