Writing, since you're a DIP user, I thought I'd quick reply. You're gonna LOVE how easy this is to do. Get your background paper (or frame color). Now make a duplicate copy. Working on the top copy, go up and change the contrast to much darker and the brightness much darker (are you using DIP9??) you just basically want to make this copy much darker version. Then move it behind your original copy. Now the original is on top, go to your edges and use the soft edges feature, usually only 1 or 2 does the trick, just play with it. It give you a nice, natural shadow or beveling. Then I just group the two together so they don't get separated. Use this technique ALL THE TIME. Happy to help. Hope this makes sense to you.
