Hi there,
I'm new here and rather new to digiscrapping (I've been paper scrapping for a while and am no stranger to Photoshop though).

I've got a different question - what about creating elements on the PC from scratch that look like paper scrapbook items? For example, I liked the new Bazill really big brads, the polka dot kind, and I made a pretty good imitation (Just a circle, then deleted smaller circles that have almost the same spacing as the real brad but not quite, embossed, pretty simple all in all). But I can imagine this is questionable. I have a kit that has a polka dot ribbon that looks a lot like something I've seen in a scrapbook store though, same spacing of dots etc.

So I'm confused. I'd like to try and make elements, the process of creating something like that is exciting but I'm not the greatest at coming up with an idea completely from scratch, so I thought I'd try creating things that look like things from my own paper scrapbooking supplies.

Same thing for paper - I know it's not done to scan paper and use that, but what if you try to make something (very?) similar from scratch?

I'd love to hear what you all think...
