Hi Tabatha.
Unfortunately there is not a blanket answer for this. Font designers have the right to say what can and cannot be done with with their fonts. So it's not easy to find the answer usually, but if the font came with a readme file- you can look there or you can try emailing the font designer- if you can find their email- LOL!

Sometimes you'll find that after you've spent 5 hours trying to find an answer, you could've just as well bought a commercial font. *sigh*
