I think I may know what you are asking.... I am fairly new myself. Most elements are separate files you can download, not found within your actual program. Check out the free download section of this site. In the free kits there are files for backgroup papers and "elements" to create pages with. Just like paper, ribbons, tags, etc.

To include an element, open both files (your main page and the element you want to bring in) . The element should have a transparent background. Use the "move tool" in the upper left hand corner of your tools nav bar to drag the element on to your page. Check out some of the tutorials - there are great step by step instructions.

If there is any easier way to do this, I'd love to hear it.
