The R200 and R220 use different ink than the R800 and R1800. R800/R1800 is labeled archival ink which indicates a longer fade resistance life than the ink used in the R200/R220. However, the fade resistance life of the ink used in the R200/R220 is longer than any other printer's ink and longer than lab printed photos.

The quality is outstanding with the R200/R220.
