I used Nero 7 Premium (burning software) ... there's video and photo editing in the package. Easy drag and drop with lots wipes,fades etc to choose from or you can randomly add to all transitons (between videos or photos) There are also text and effects options for videos and you can have 2 audio track eg hear the talking, but add music to the background. It takes you through step by step and you can do a menu screen which essentially all the chapters on your dvd and choose music and backgrounds or design your own or use your own video. It even steps you through designing covers, labels and a booklet too.

The dvd label is printed directly onto the disk (inkjet printable) and i used a different program for that even though i could do it in Nero 7.
