Hello,
I knew I could count on my cyber-friends at SBB to try to solve my dilemma.
First, I open up DIP and create a 12X12 canvas or insert a pre-made bg.
Then, I insert picture> from my computer and select the drive where my photos are in a cd.
Just so you know, the picture on the disk IS perfectly clear and in focus.

When the picture is inserted, it is huge and fills my canvas. I then tried to resize the picture by the handles but the picture does not look sharp and is kind of blurry. I tried cropping it but the picture is not sharp (looks kind of blurry).
I tried to open the same photo in a smaller canvas, 4 X 6, and the photo still came in huge, the same as when I was opening it up on a 12X12 canvas.
Someone suggested that it was perhaps the resolution...?!
If that is the case, what steps can I take to reduce the size of the picture while still keeping the sharpness so that I can scrap my photos to my heart's content?
I don't have a digital camera so a picture CD is as close to digital as I get right now....
Thank you all for your help. God Bless.
