Cool I am printing 5x7 layouts (M)

simply because I wanted something that would be compact for my husband's grandmother to carry around at the nursing home. It started out as a project for her.

I print with my HP Photosmart 7550 printer on Premium Glossy Photo Paper -- I like that high gloss page as it gives the crispest picture. I like the Fuji Film Paper and HQ paper (hard to find) because of the price.

I did print the first few (first ones I had ever printed) on Kodak Soft Gloss paper and I just didn't like the prints as much. Some I printed with my HP Deskjet 812 and you can see the difference in print quality between the 2 printers. The paper DOES make a difference as well even between the 2 printers.

It really depends on the look you are going for. Print the same layout on a couple of different papers and see what you like.

I don't think I'll be doing 12x12 layouts again (that's what size I started paper scrapping, although the last one I did was a 8.5x11). I think that since 8.5x11 is so much a standard size and easier to store (book shelf) I'll be doing that size. In fact, before I started the 5x7 project, I was doing 8x10s simply because I can easily find the paper, I have the printer to accommodate it, it is standard size, etc.

I've seen posts about bound books when printed. . . I am really going to look into that!!! I like the idea.
