Vivian, for you I HAD to go find an answer.
To get PSE2 to look for plug-ins in a different directory go to
Edit> Preferences> Plug-ins and Scratch Disk. Check the box next to
Additional Plug-ins Directory and then click
Choose. Find the directory and then click
Okay
You can load brushes, gradients, swatches and patterns "on-the-fly". The directions for loading brushes "on-the-fly" are in
this tut. You can do basically the same thing for gradients, swatches and patterns.
As far as I know custom shapes and styles have to be in the default directory. If someone knows different, please correct me!
