To answer the above questions...

1. What is the actual cost of the book, I saw $38 but that doesn't include a cover? and that said 20 pages but they suggest you do 36 at least? Is this right?
The book for 8.5x11 and smaller is 38 (although the 8.5 x 11 would be without a full bleed..they bill higher if it has a bleed in it)..a cover image is 1.50, or you can do a dust jacket or some other cool things for an additional cost...it is all listed on the site....Thye do suggest 36 pages and it does fill the book out better and seems to make the binding a little more secure...but I have done 20 woth no problems....

2. What is the cost of a second publication, I saw it was a reduced cost, but no amount was given? cannot remember this on offhand...maybe 10 or 15%.....?!?!?! DOn't quote me on that though....
3. Do you get them printed on both sides of the paper and is the paper too thin? (Can you see the other side through it?)
You can do one sided or 2 sided print....they print standard on 2 sides and the paper is thick so no problems there....and I do a LOT of dark backgrounds and have never had an issue...
4. Do you have to do a bleed if you do 10x10? I saw they suggested it for 8 1/2 by 8 1/2 and for 8 1/2 by 11.
You do not have to do a bleed in any size...I have actually done a few 8.5x11 books without a full bleed (just to save costs b/c it does cost a few dollars more for full bleed in the larger sizes)...it leaves a white border around the page and it really looks good...it just depends on the look you like...
5. Final question (I think) They say they want tiffs but if you do your own design work to send a PDF. I've got the directions for doing this, but do you have to create your pages and save them as tiffs first, then put them together into one document? I've always saved everything and printed everything as JPEGS so I was just curious about this.
No need to save as TIFF if you are doing the PSD file...they only want TIFF files if THEY are going to be doing any of the layout for you...they just want the PSD file.....
