This tutorial shows how you can fake a type of text path in PS to follow a curved border.

Open your curve border to your canvas and position as desired.

Select your text tool and draw out a text box similar to that shown, select your font and font size first as the type and size you choose will affect everything. Type in anything til it reaches the end of the text box – make sure your text alignment is set to left.

Select Warp text

From the style box select Arc

Now adjust the Bend to a negative to fit the text into the curve

Select OK
Start a new text layer and draw out a text box at right.

Select Warp text
Choose Arc and flatten the curve by adjusting the horizontal slider to approximate the slope and curve.

Click Ok and then select the move tool on the toolbox and manipulate the text into position as much as you are able

As you can see its not quite right so click on the Warp text icon again and some boundaries will appear around and through the text. Drag down on the top round handle to adjust the curve

Click back on the move tool and manipulate again. You may have to do this a few times but with practice you will better be able to judge the adjustments you need.

You should now have something like this

Draw a third text box to complete the chain

Select warp and flatten the Arc, select Ok and move into position.

It’s not perfect but it works quite well. All you need to do now is edit each text box to create your journaling, you may need to tweak position a little in some cases.
