This tutorial will show you how add an avatar to your posts, how to make your avatar appear the same in the gallery as in the forums and some sources of “dolls” for your avatars.
Adding an Avatar
- In your photo software, create an image to use as your avatar. Save the image to your hard drive as a JPEG file. Make sure that
the final image is no larger than 125 x 125 pixels and the file size is less than 19.5 KB.
- From any page in the forums click on the User CP at the top of the page.
- In the Control Panel under Settings and Options, click Edit Avatar.
- In the new web page your current avatar will be displayed.
- Click on Browse, locate your saved file on your hard drive and click
Open.
- Click Save Changes to update your avatar. Your new avatar is now being displayed in the forums and gallery.
Help! The gallery still shows my old avatar!
There is a known issue with the gallery software that causes the member not to see their latest avatar after uploading a new avatar. All other members are seeing the new avatar. The following steps will fix this issue.
- Go to the gallery and log out of SBB.

- Clear your temporary internet files and cookies.
a. In Internet Explorer, click Tools> Internet Options then click the
Delete Cookies and Delete Files buttons.

- Now log back into the gallery and you will see your new avatar on all your comments in the gallery.
Where to buy or make your own avatars
Lots of SBB members use little caricatures of themselves as their avatars. You can go out on a limb and create your own. You can also buy or make these dolls at the following sites.
eLouai’s Dollmaker
Dawn Stocstill’s Chicklets and Gurls
Clara Wallace’s Custom Chick Graphics
