TECHNIQUE: How to Insert a Pin

For the purposes of this tutorial I am using just a plain white background but you should place the pin on the layout where desired.


With the paper layer selected, choose the Rectangular Marquee Selection tool and draw out a small rectangle as shown


Use CTRL+J (PC) to duplicate the selected area and move the layer up so it covers the pin



Select the burn tool and from the options menu select a suitable size soft brush. Choosing a range and exposure, depends on the color of the paper you are using.


Brush the edge of the duplicate piece down one side and the bottom


Select the paper layer and brush under and around the piece


Your element is now pinned to the page
