This powerful tool is ideal for rescuing information lost in shadow.
The image below has detail hidden by deep shadow along the tree line
Select Adjustments> Shadow/Highlight
The preset values make a significant change.
You can then make more suitable adjustments. By checking the Show More Options box you access even more control.
Below changes have been made to greater control the result.
