AlienSkin’s recent release of EyeCandy 5: Nature introduces 4 new filters and provides an upgrade to several released in EyeCandy 4000. EyeCandy 5: Nature is the second of a series, Texture was released in late 2004 and the final installment, Impact is likely to be released in late 2005.
While the interface differs slightly between the filters, each provides a long list of presets to simulate different effects. The presets can be modified using menu controls which include the ability to manipulate colors, sizes, direction and other features.
EyeCandy 5: Nature is intended for use on a variety of digital images yet it can also be used to create unique effects with fonts to create fun titles.
Corona:
Corona is intended to create sun flares, glows and lighting effects created in space. This filter wouldn’t seem to be of much use to digital scrapbookers however it can create unusual effects that could be incorporated into layout designs.

Drip:
For liquefying or melting effects the drip filter is fun to play with. From small drips to large distortions the filter can be applied to either text or object.

The fire effect is far more realistic in this filter than previous versions. You can create effects from candle to blow torch flame.

Ripples
Intending to simulate water ripples this filter allows you to generate effects both inside and outside the selection. You can create gel and plastic type effects with this filter as well as textured metallic surfaces.

Rust
With the popularity of distressed and heritage style elements the addition of the rust filter to the Nature Set is a gift for digital scrapbookers. From flaking gold rust to a patina of age, the effects are realistic and easily applied and manipulated. Used in conjunction with the chrome filter from Eyecandy4000, you can create stunning titles ideal for heritage layouts.
Setting : Small Patina High Coverage Font: CK Scratchy Box

Smoke
With plenty of presets there is scope for experimentation with the smoke filter.

Snow Drift
This filter makes it easy to add snow drifts and dusting to any image. You can control the amount of snow and even change the color for more creative options.
