HOW TO ACCESS THE SUBSCRIBER CONTENT
AFTER PURCHASE
**PLEASE NOTE** The Downloads area is
currently (03/06) being rebuilt to accommodate the new system. The process of
rebuilding is expected to take several weeks**
Scrapbook-Bytes.com has always
offered its members’ free downloads to encourage and assist members in creating
their digital scrapbook pages. SBB hosts the largest collection of free digital
scrapbooking elements on the internet.
Subscribing to the Downloads area of
SBB gives you access to many more elements that are available in addition to
those accessible to registered users. Registered Members are limited to only 15 file downloads per day while paid Subscribers have no download limit.
Currently (as of 12/05) annual
subscriptions are available for a cost of US$15 from the STORE. This
cost is to assist in offsetting the huge cost of bandwidth and storage of these
items – it is not a charge for the elements themselves.

If you are still unable to access the
Subscribers content after following the above – and allowing the 2- 5 days for
your status to be activated, then please contact
customer.service@sbbemail.com, Please include your SBB store username, SBB
member username, valid email address and any other relevant details, including
any specific error message notices. Allow 2- 5 working days for a response.
For information regarding the posting
of new content in the Subscribers area please monitor the

thread in the Forum. While we endeavor to add new content regularly, we make no
claims regarding a minimum amount of new content in any time frame.

All of the items in the Downloads
gallery are free for PERSONAL USE ONLY, unless the Terms of Use for an
individual item indicate otherwise.
YOU MAY NOT allow others to use your
user name and password to access the Subscribers Area. Subscriptions are valid
for the purchasing member ONLY. You may access the area on another computer as
long as you will be the only recipient of the elements.
YOU MAY NOT share direct links – that
is any link with the .zip extension, to any item available in the Download
gallery to registered members or subscribers, with any other person or persons
by way of email, website or any other means. This is called HOTLINKING and is
NOT permitted under any circumstances. Subscribers and members proved to be
sharing links in this manner will have their access revoked and membership
terminated. YOU MAY share a link to the website
www.scrapbook-bytes.com or the Downloads Area
http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/chat/local_links.php or a
specific category for others to view the content.
YOU MAY NOT redistribute any files in
the Downloads area available to registered members or subscribers, by any manner
including email, e-lists, CD or DVD compilations etc. Subscribers and members
proved to be sharing files of any download material in this way will have their
access revoked and membership terminated.

If you have just purchased your
membership please keep in mind that it does take up to 2-5 working days from the
time of purchase for your subscriber status to become active.
Once your status has been activated
you may need to refresh your system. To do this:
For MS Operating Systems e.g. XP –
run Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Disk Cleanup and make sure
that in the list you have selected Temporary Internet Folders; and Temporary
Files.
Reboot your computer.
Go to
http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com > Free Downloads from the menu at left
Log in - if you are already logged in
choose Log Out and then log back in again with your username and password.
You can also access the Downloads by
choosing the Downloads Link in the Quick Site Links section of both the forum
and gallery.
You should now see two categories,
Free Downloads and Subscribers Downloads as shown below.
The information box at right lists
the most popular entries during the last 30 days - clicking on any listed item
will take you to that entry.
The information box also allows you
to choose “What’s New” to view new items added, “What’s hot” to view items in
order of popularity and the number of new entries entered since your last visit.
To browse the Subscribers Only
Downloads area, choose Subscribers Downloads. The next window will contain a
list of categories at right and the amount of entries in that category at left.
Choose any category. Element Team
Exclusives has been selected.
The preview of the item is shown at
left. Click on the image to begin downloading the single zip file. For security
reasons, all files are only one single zip file and download managers (like
DownloadThemAll) are not supported by the software.
At the right of each listing is
information about the file including its size in Kb
To thank the designer of the element,
leave a comment or rate the download, choose view ratings/comments. Designers
appreciate your thanks for their hard work. Where comments are left but no rating is given the software assumes a rating of 0 so please choose a star rating for the element.
Choose Return to return to the
category you were viewing.
You can switch between categories by
using the links at the top of the screen.
Choosing Show will allow you to
access a particular group of items.
The Search button allows you to
search for a particular item by keyword.
Choosing Sort By at left lets you
select the method by which the elements are sorted for viewing.
If you find a link does not work or
the file is corrupted when you try to unzip it please firstly ensure you are not
using a download manager, and that you have tried using Windows own unzip
program (right click on the zip file and choose Extract All) If you are still
having difficulty, use the REPORT BAD LINK icon to submit the problem. Posts are
not monitored for comments regarding this issue.
