Create a dotted circle brush using
Photoshop 7.0.
Step 1: Open a New File with a
transparent background, File > New.
Step 3: Select the Elliptical Marquee
Tool from the detachable Tools menu.
Step 4: While pressing the Shift key,
click with your mouse on the transparent canvas and drag the circle to the size
you want, then, let go of the mouse and shift buttons. You should see a circle
of marching ants.
Step 5: If your Paths window is not
open, select Window > Paths and select the Make a Work Path from Selection icon.
Once you make the work path, you
should see this:
Step 6: Now select the brush tool.
Make sure the Brushes Window is open, Window > Brushes.
Step 7: Select Brush Tip Shape and
choose a solid circle brush. Change the diameter to the size you wish and adjust
the spacing slider.
Step 8: Go back to the Paths Window
and select the Stroke Path with Brush icon.
NOTE: Make sure you still have the
brush tool activated.
Step 9: You should now see a circle
of dots. Delete the current work path.
Step 10: To create the circle dotted
brush, select Edit > Define Brush.
Step 11: Name your new brush and
press OK.
Step 12: Now test your new brush out
by selecting it and varying its size and color. Have fun!
