This tutorial will show you how to create your own glitter layer style using PSCS3
Create a new document 1200px x 1200px at 300ppi
Fill the document with grey #b3b3b3
Go to Filter> Texture> Grain
Select Sprinkle from the drop down menu and adjust the Intensity to 35 and Contrast to 50. Select OK to apply.
Go to Filter> Pixelate> Crystalize
Select 3%
Use CTRL+J to duplicate the layer, go to Edit> Transform> Rotate 90 CW
Change the layer blend to Multiply
Duplicate this layer (CTRL+J) and repeat the rotation as above
Merge these three layers together by right clicking on a layer and selecting Merge Layers.
This will become our basic layer style but save a copy of the image in case its needed again.
After saving,
Go to Edit> Define Pattern
Name the file
Create a new document and use the custom shape tool to create a shape on the document. Any shape will do.
Double click on the shapes layer in the Layer palette to launch the Layer style dialog
Select Pattern Overlay and browse to find and select the glitter style you just saved.
To color the glitter, select Color Overlay.
Select a color by clicking on the color box.
Depending on what shade you are using select either Multiply or Color as the blend modes.

Once you have a color you are happy with, select New Style
Name the style and make sure you check both “Include Layer Effects” and “Include Layer Blending Options” then click OK
This saves a copy of the style in your styles palette
Change the color and save it as a new style as above. Continue creating new styles as desired.
Once you have created your styles. Save the set. Go to the Styles palette and click to open the palette menu. Select Save Styles. (Make sure you have emptied any other styles from the palette using the Preset Manager before saving so you don’t save other styles with it)

Name and save the set in your styles folder
Your styles are now ready to be used whenever you need them. You can add the style to a shape, or use the layer style with brushes
Make it all glitter!
