Create a new canvas at 12x12 300ppi
Fill the canvas with color #f7ecd0
Create a new layer and go to Edit > Fill> and choose 50% Gray
With the gray layer selected, choose Filter > Render> Clouds
Change the Blending mode of the layer to Multiply
Go to Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur and increase the blur amount to 80+ to soften the effect.
Merge the two layers
Select the burn Tool from the burn palette. You can use a large soft brush or for a better effect choose a grunge type brush.
In the options tool select Shadows and a percentage – 33% is used here.
Brush randomly over the paper, especially around the edges. Vary the brush size for the best effect.
Double click the layer to access the Layer Style palette. Choose Pattern Overlay and load Grayscale Paper from the default pattern files. Select Kraft Paper and then change the Blend Mode to Color Burn and adjust the Opacity to suit.
Press Ok to apply
Right click on the layer and select Convert to Smart Object, right click on the layer again and choose Rasterize Layer.
Double click the layer to access the Layer Style palette. Choose Pattern Overlay and load Color Paper from the default pattern files. Choose White textured and use Linear Burn as the blend mode – zoom in to see the texture, increase the Scale to 220% and adjust the opacity to suit.
Click Ok to apply and then right click on the layer and select Convert to Smart Object, right click on the layer again and choose Rasterize Layer.
Use the burn brush to add more definition where desired.
Close Up...
Give your paper some extra oomph by using an overlay.
