It is simple to create your own brush from any of the thousands of ding fonts available.
Choose a ding font.
Make sure your foreground color is black (press D on your keyboard)
Choose the text tool
This ding is from Monotype Sorts (letter a) and I have typed it at 200 pt
Rasterize the text by right clicking on the layer and selecting Rasterize Type
Select Image> Trim, and ensure that Based on: Transparent Pixels is selected and all options are selected for Trim Away
Select Edit> Define Brush Preset and name your brush when the popup window appears. Choose OK
You can now access your brush through the brush menu (B) and make your choices. Create a new layer and apply your brushwork.
Don't forget to save your ding brush using the Preset Manager!
