You can create a contact sheet for your supplies, photos or layouts in Photoshop quickly and easily.
Go to File> Automate> Contact Sheet II
You can create a contact sheet from files open in Photoshop, Files selected in Bridge or by choosing the contents of a folder.

Select the finished size of the contact sheet required. If you want to print the sheet then select Legal (or A4) measurements. Ensure resolution is at 300pixels.
By selecting Flatten All Layers, the resulting contact sheet will be flattened. Deselect to have each file accessible.

The next task is to determine how many rows and columns will be needed to fit the items on it. Select Auto Spacing to ensure a gap between each file image. Determine the position of the files by using the drop down menu for place.
You can see the preview at left on how the grid will look.

You can opt to print the file names with each thumbnail, and determine the font and size. The size will most likely need to be 6pt or smaller to fit.

Finally select OK to allow Photoshop to create the contact sheet. It does it all for you , opening and closing files. How long it takes will depend on your system.

Print or save the resulting contact sheet.
