From YourSITE.com *Program Basic Open a new canvas in Photoshop. Standard blinkie size is 150x50pixels at 72ppi  You need to have an idea of what you want to achieve as each change between “blinks” will require separate layers. In this instance I will create a simple three frame blinkie. Only the text will change in each frame Create your first frame  Duplicate the image (Image>Duplicate) and make changes for the second frame.  Duplicate the image and make changes for the third frame.  When you are happy with each frame, merge the layers. Select the first frame project and use SHIFT + drag to create a single file with four layers in order. With the first layer being the first frame in the sequence.  Go to File> Edit in ImageReady  Ensure you can see the Animation Palette (Window> Animation)  On the animation palette, click on the small arrow in the top right hand corner of the palette and choose Make Frames from Layers  Each layer will appear in the animation palette  Click on the small drop down arrow underneath the first frame to change the time each frame plays.  Do this for each frame.  Test the animation by pressing the play symbol on the palette. If required make further adjustments to the timing. When you are happy with timing find the optimize menu at far right and ensure your settings are as follows:  Then select Save> Save Optimised As and name your blinkie.  The blinkie is finished. Feel free to snag this blinkie for your own use.  You will need to upload and host your blinkie online. Photobucket.com is a common host.
