ELEMENT: Folding Paper Corners

Open 2 papers. One will be the main paper and the other will be the folded part.
Open a new canvas and drag your main paper onto it.
Using the Marquee Tool select the diamond shape and drag it out to cover the corner.

Go to Edit/Cut then Edit/Paste.

Fill with your background paper.
Effects/Fill with texture or colour/Picture.
Double click on the background paper in the stack and size to suit.
Click Done when finished.

Rotate clockwise twice.

Go to Effects/Distort and select Wave1. I used the settings below but adjust to your liking.

Click Done when finished.
Go back to Effects/Distort and select Vertical Wave 1. I used the settings below. If you want the curve in the opposite direction move the slider to the right.
At this point you may need to slightly resize the corner to align with the main paper

Go to Touchup/Other Photo Repair/Dodge and Burn.
Select Soft Brush and resize to suit. I used a setting of -9.
Sweep along the outside edge. This will give the edge definition. You may need to adjust the size and brightness depending on the colour of paper you have used.

Change the brightness to around +10. Again it will depend on the colour of your corner.
Sweep along the centre to give the paper the appearance of being raised.

Using a darker setting and a narrower brush sweep just inside the lower corner.
Add a drop shadow and you’re done.
