From YourSITE.com *Element Create a new canvas 4inch by 4 inch at 300ppi – this canvas size makes for easy viewing.  Insert > Shape >Circle and resize the circle and position as shown  Select both objects by holding down the CRTL key and clicking on them , right click and choose Flatten selected Objects.  Fill the shape with black Effects> Fill with Texture or Color and choose Black from the pallete  Choose Effects> Filters> All Filters  Scroll to find Metal: Chrome Chaotic  Choose Change advanced options Adjust the settings to create a tortiseshell pattern. You can make any changes you like to create a pleasing look. Here the changes are Transparency: 23, Brush Size 253; Coverage: 77; Pressure: 80  Select Done and Done to apply Now select > Filters> All Filters again and this time select metal: Chrome Simple  This creates a glossy effect – you can experiment with changes if you wish using Change Advanced Options DIP/DIS does not have a built in bevel option. You can use a plug in to bevel such as Alienskins EyeCandy Impact or follow the method below. Choose Touchup> Other Photo Repair> Dodge and Burn brush  Set the brush size – 13 is used here. Leave the brush style as soft edge, and the brightness at the default 20. Click and drag to brush just inside the edge of the prong – it took three passes to achieve this look on the top edge.   Create this effect around all edges  Now change the brightness of the brush to -20, switch to a hard edge and overlap just the very edges of the shape, including under the neck of the circle shape  The Photo prong could be used plain or use Effects> Paint Brush>Stamp to add a decorative brad  © Copyright by YourSITE.com |
