TECHNIQUE: Converting a Photograph to a Sketch in DIP

Converting a photograph to a sketch can be accomplished in
a variety of ways depending upon the desired look you are after. This tutorial
shows you how to use the standard filters available in the various versions of
Digital Image Pro to create the sketch look.
Select your photograph.
For a traditional sketch, first turn your photo black and

Choose Effects> Filters > All Filters
Below are examples of the effects of several different
filters. Experiment with changing the Advanced Options to create the look you
want.
Pencil: Blurry Sketch
Pencil: Drawing (Change Paper Brightness to 50)
Pencil: Sketch
Pencil: Light Sketch
PhotoCopy
Stamp:Woodcut Fine
If you want a color sketch then leave your original image
in color and try some of the following options:
Pen: Line Drawing
Pencil: Drawing (Change Paper Brightness to 50)
Pencil: Soft Sketch
Other options for sketch effects are compatible plug-in
filters.
