PROGRAM BASIC: Text on a Path

Photo Impact makes it very simple to create text on a path that you create.

Click the Path Drawing tool

Select the Line and Arrow Tool

The shape tool bar will appear.  When you click the line under “Shape” it will give you four options.

1. Straight

2. Spline (tool can be used to draw both curved and linear paths, more curved than straight)

3. Bezier Curve (tool allows you to create straight and curved lines.)

4. Freehand 

Select Spline   Note:  Any line option can be selected for text on path, for this example Spline is used.

Draw your curved line

Click when you want the line to bend 

Double-click on the last node to finalize the path line

Go to Object > Wrap >

Select Add Text to Active Path

The line will change to show that text can be entered.

Start typing your text. 

It will repeat the text to fill out the line

To change the font style and size after entering your text, press Ctrl + A to select the text

Once text is highlighted, use the drop down menus to change the font and size
