This project is great for Christmas presents or just for yourself. Here’s what it will look like when we’re finished!

Credits for my assembled calendar:
Digital kit: Miki Ferkul's Naiads and Oceanids at ScrapbookElements, Fonts: Verdana Made in Adobe Photoshop CS3, Patterned paper: My Guy Stripe by Pebbles Inc, two toned blue cardstock, (Prima flowers, jeweled brad), 25 mm metal rings, white posterboard.
Supply List:

Digital
1 coordinated kit
Software
Optional - Pre-made calendar grids (I made my own - will provide instructions using Microsoft Excel, Word)

Traditional
1 piece of coordinating patterned paper
2 colors of coordinating cardstock
Misc embellishments
Optional - Grafix Rub-onz paper

Misc
Scorer
Ruler
Pencil
2 hole punch
Scissors
Double sided tape
425 sgm weight white board (purchased from local stationary store)
19 or 25 mm rings (purchased from local stationary store, 19 would be better I think but I could only find 25 in bulk locally)

Instructions (Digital)
Calendar Grids
1. Using Excel, place dates and day headers in the cells. Align and resize the cells as desired. You need 7 grids – all containing 31 days and one starting on each day of the week.
2. Select one grid at a time, and copy/paste into word to get rid of the cell borders
3. Select the grid in word and copy/paste it into your imaging software.
4. Save the grid as a png file for use later in your month pages.
5. When using your grids, you'll need to delete any extra days. For example February starts on a Sunday this year so I took my 'Sunday' grid which has 31 days and deleted 29, 30 and 31.

Month pages
1. Take a piece of scrap paper at 6 x 4 inch size and punch holes. Measure location of hole. Allow for some additional room as a safeguard against the hole being punched in a different location.
2. Create a 6x4 template highlighting the hole punch areas that need to be kept clear of important parts of the digital layouts based on the measurements in step 1 (you probably don't want a hole going straight through anyone's head!). You may want to highlight areas around the edge to be kept clear as well.
3. Use your template to create 12 6 x 4 inch layouts - one for each month. Double check the number of days in the calendar grid and starting day is correct for each month, especially if you've created your own!
4. Print your layouts as standard 6 x 4 inch photos.

Side panel
1. Create a new image or word document 1.5 x 4 inches.
2. Write an appropriate greeting or message. I kept mine simple, but you can embellish to your hearts content.
3. Print on Grafix Rub-onz paper or straight onto cardstock.

Instructions (Traditional)
1. Cut your white poster board down to 8 x 10 inches.
2. With the board in a portrait orientation, score and fold it at 2, 5 and 8 inches from the top.
3. Cut your base cardstock color into a strip 2 x 4 inches. Adhere rub-ons if required.
4. Cut your coordinating cardstock color into a strip .5 x 4 inches.
5. Cut your patterned paper into a string 1 x 4 inches.
6. Adhere your base cardstock to the 'front' section of the calendar. Align so it is flush with the right hand margin.
7. Adhere your coordinating cardstock to the 'front' section of the calendar. Align so it is 1.5 inches in from the right hand margin.
8. Adhere your patterned paper to the 'front' section of the calendar. Align so it leaves only the smallest strip of coordinating cardstock visible.
9. Add any other miscellaneous embellishments.
10. Fold the poster board down the center line.
11. Line up and punch your photo calendar pages.
12. Insert rings to hold it all together
13. Fold bottoms of the poster board in underneath your calendar.
14. Use double sided tape to adhere the bottom edges together.
