The Scrapbook-Bytes gallery requires images must be less than 125kb with a maximum width of 600 pixels to be uploaded to the gallery. This requirement may vary slightly at other sites galleries.
This tutorial demonstrates one of the more popular methods of resizing for gallery posting using Photoshop.

With your layout open in your workspace – ensure you have first saved the PSD file or a print resolution file in your preferred format, or alternative create a duplicate file by choosing Image> Duplicate and then closing the original file.
Right click on any image layer and choose Flatten Image.

Go to Image> Image Size

In the dialog box that appears, ensure Constrain Proportions and Resample Image are checked. Select Bicubic for the best results.
Change the Width and Height in the Pixel Dimensions to 600 and then select OK.

Go to File> Save for Web and Devices

In the dialog that appears, make sure that you are on the Optimized tab (top left)

The current size of the image is shown in the bottom left hand corner

You can affect the file size by adjusting the quality slide found in menu at top right

Push the slider down while referencing the size in the bottom left hand corner until the size is less than 125kb. (Areas highlighted in yellow)

When you have reduced the size so that it does not exceed the limit, select Save and save to your hard drive.
*Remember to give your layout a unique name eg: yourname_layouttitle_date to prevent the possibility of your layout being overwritten and so it is clearly identifiable.

If you need help to upload your layout to the Scrapbook-Bytes gallery please view this tutorial.
