Have you ever wished or wanted to change you journaling where it might be hard to read across two different colored papers or a patterned paper.

I will show you how easy this is. Make your text like you normally do. I always create my text using vector text so I can easily change it later if I make a mistake. Start by making a duplicate layer of your text layers, turn off visibility of your vector text layers and then Convert to Raster Layer the duplicated layer.

Notice my hand pointing to that little padlock; lock it by clicking on it. What this does is protects your transparency of your raster layer. Color will only be laid down where there already is color. This works with anything you want to change the color of and it has a transparent background.

Next just grab a new color that you want to use for your text and grab your paintbrush with the appropriate size brush and just start painting on the new color!! Zoom in close so you can see the text where it goes from one paper to another. This is so much fun and so easy to do! Have fun
