This tutorial will show you how to resize photos, elements and text that have already been added/created in PSE

Resizing and rotating photos and elements
  1. Hit CTRL+T to quickly start resizing and rotating the active layer.
  2. Resize - Define how to resize your element by doing either of the following:
    a. In the Options Toolbar, key in the percentage of the current size you would like the element resized to.
    b. Grab any of the control points around your element and drag them to a new size.
Hint: To make sure that your element/picture stays in proportion (i.e. it doesn’t get distorted) while you are resizing it, click on the chain icon in the options toolbar.
  3. Rotate - Define your rotation by doing either of the following:
    a. In the Options Toolbar, key in the angle you would like the element rotated.
    b. Place your cursor close to a corner of the element until the rotate icon is displayed. Click and drag to rotate the element.
  4. Click the check mark when you are done resizing and rotating the photo/element.
Resizing text
  1. Using the Text tool
    a. Make sure that the text layer to be resized is active (see Step 1 for more information).
    b. Click on the Text tool
    c. Change the font size in the Options Toolbar and the size of the text on the active layer will automatically adjust.
Hint: This technique can also be used to quickly change other properties of your text such as font, color or justification.
  2. Using the Free Transform tool
    a. With the text layer active, hit CTRL + T to resize the text.
    b. Use the Free Transform tool the same way as with photos/elements (see Step 3 for more information). The font size will automatically be updated to match any size changes made.
Note: This method of resizing text allows the portions of the font itself to be skewed (i.e. fonts can be taller and skinnier or shorter and squatter than normal). If this is not desired, click on the chain icon in the Options Toolbar to force the height and width of the text to change proportionally.
